Those trialling the latest WhatsApp beta releases on Windows Phone have been warned to avoid the latest update.
WhatsApp version 2.17.140 on Windows Phone includes a bug that prevents users from receiving any media messages, a prominent beta tester cautioned on Twitter.
"Don't update," Twitter user WABetaInfo warned its followers.
It later added: "Seems there are issues also for text messages."
WABetaInfo shares information about upcoming WhatsApp features as they surface in beta versions of the app.
Beta versions will include new features and functionality not yet ready for the stable updates rolled-out to users worldwide.
WhatsApp users are warned about the unfinished nature of beta releases when they sign-up to receive the cutting-edge releases.
